Delicious and healthy alternative to the traditional beef, pork, and veal meatloaf popular throughout the county.

Ingredients:John K

  • 1 egg
  • 2 dashes of Worcester Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/8 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 TBS ketchup
  • 1 tsp dried mustard
  • 1 TBS finely minced (or grated) onion
  • 2 TBS finely chopped green or red bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup plain or seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/8 cup chicken stock
  • 1 pound ground turkey

Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 TBS yellow mustard
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Worcester Sauce

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°
  2. Thoroughly combine all meatloaf ingredients and place into a wax (or parchment) paper meatloaf pan
  3. Allow ingredients to sit for approximately 10 minutes before transferring to a large greased baking sheet
  4. Place into preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until interior temperature reaches 180°
  5. Combine all of the sauce ingredients into a small bowl and baste over the meatloaf 15 minutes before cooking is completed
  6. Remove from the oven and allow to rest 10-15 minutes before serving

Serves 2-4
