Simple dish showing off fresh snap beans
Ingredients:
- 1 lb fresh snap beans, washed, and ends cut off
- 3 slices bacon
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup diced onion
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions:
- Lightly steam beans until they are cooked but still crisp
- In a frying pan, cook bacon until lightly browned
- Add butter to bacon and melt
- Add remaining ingredients to frying pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until onions are transparent
- Pour mixture over beans and serve
Serves 6
