  • 1 ½ cups raw rice
  • Chicken stock
  • 2 TBS vegetable oil
  • ¾ cup finely chopped onion
  • ½ cup finely chopped bell pepper
  • ¾ cup finely chopped celery
  • 1 ½ pounds ground chuck
  • (may substitute ½ Bryan’s or Jimmy Dean pork sausage)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 TBS A-1 Steak Sauce
  • ½ tsp Tabasco sauce
  • 1 ½ TBS green hot sauce
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  1. Cook rice, using chicken stock rather than water
  2. In a large skillet heat oil over medium high heat and sauté onion, bell pepper, and celery until onion is cook down
  3. Add meat and continue cooking stirring often until pink has disappeared
  4. Add black pepper and next 3 ingredients
  5. Add cooked rice and mix well, remove from heat
  6. Add egg to mixture and coat well
  7. Place entire contents into a greased casserole and bake at 350? for 25 minutes

Serves 4-6
