- 1 ½ cups raw rice
- Chicken stock
- 2 TBS vegetable oil
- ¾ cup finely chopped onion
- ½ cup finely chopped bell pepper
- ¾ cup finely chopped celery
- 1 ½ pounds ground chuck
- (may substitute ½ Bryan’s or Jimmy Dean pork sausage)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 TBS A-1 Steak Sauce
- ½ tsp Tabasco sauce
- 1 ½ TBS green hot sauce
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- Cook rice, using chicken stock rather than water
- In a large skillet heat oil over medium high heat and sauté onion, bell pepper, and celery until onion is cook down
- Add meat and continue cooking stirring often until pink has disappeared
- Add black pepper and next 3 ingredients
- Add cooked rice and mix well, remove from heat
- Add egg to mixture and coat well
- Place entire contents into a greased casserole and bake at 350? for 25 minutes
Serves 4-6
