  • 2 packages of your favorite frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp garlic salt

  • Mornay Sauce:
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 ½ cups Half & Half
  • ½ cup juice from vegetables
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp thyme
  • 1/8 tsp garlic salt
  • 2 TBS white wine
  • Seasoned bread crumbs
  • 8 butter pats
  1. Remove vegetables from bag, place in covered dish with ¼ cup water and cook on high for 4 minutes; drain, but save ½ cup of the juices
  2. Season vegetables with salt, garlic, salt, and butter; set aside
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour, whisking constantly to blend until smooth
  4. Slow add the Half & Half followed by the vegetable juice
  5. Add the salt and the next 5 ingredients, cook stirring constantly to prevent sticking for about 4 minutes
  6. Into a buttered casserole dash add vegetables, then sauce
  7. Top mixture with bread crumbs and butter pats
  8. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes, serve hot
