Shrimp in Spinach Pasta with Cream Sauce

  • 1 package spinach pasta
  • 1 ½ sticks butter
  • ½ pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 pods garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp Tony Chachere’s
  • 1 tsp chives
  • 1 tsp white wine Worcestershire sauce
  • Sauce:
  • ½ stick butter
  • 1 medium white onion, finely chopped
  • 2 TBS flour
  • ½ cup milk or half & half, warmed in microwave
  • ¼ tsp white pepper
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ¼ cup white wine
  1. Boil pasta according to package directions, drain and rise
  2. Return to pot and combine with ½ stick butter
  3. In separate sauce pan melt ½ stick butter add shrimp, garlic, Toni’s, chives, Worcestershire sauce
  4. Cook for 5-6 until shrimp turn pink
  5. Prepare sauce in skillet or sauce pan by melting ½ stick butter and adding onion, sautéing until onion is completely wilted, about 6 minutes
  6. Add flour and continuously stir until well mixed and thickened
  7. Slowly add warm milk until mixture is creamy and smooth; add remaining ingredients
  8. Add shrimp to sauce and serve over pasta
