Excellent served with spinach salad, hot croissants or French bread and a glass for your favorite chilled white wine!

  • 1 stick butter
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • ½ cup chopped green pepper
  • ½ cup chopped celery
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • ½ tsp garlic salt
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 cups half n half
  • 1 can cream of shrimp soup
  • 8 oz lump crabmeat, drained & shells removed (may substitute claw meat)
  • 8 oz small shrimp, peeled and drained
  • 1 can water chestnuts, sliced
  • 1 small jar sliced mushrooms
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup seasoned bread crumbs (may use Italian style)
  • ¼ cup butter cut into pats
  1. Into skillet, melt butter and sauté onion, bell pepper, and celery until well cooked-about 10-12 minutes
  2. Slowly stir in flour and next 4 ingredients; continue cooking about 10 minutes
  3. Slowly add half n half and soup to mix; stirring to fully incorporate
  4. Next add crabmeat, shrimp, water chestnuts, and mushrooms
  5. Pour entire mixture into a large casserole dish or individual ramekins
  6. Top with layer of cheese followed by bread crumbs; dot with butter pats
  7. Place casserole or ramekins into 350? oven and bake for 30-35 minutes
