  • 1 7-ounce package vermicelli, angel hair, or linguine pasta
  • 1 12-ounce jar of roasted red peppers, drained
  • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • pounds cooked medium to large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh basil
  1. Cook pasta according to packed directions; omit salt
  2. Process red peppers and next 4 ingredients in food processor or blender until smooth
  3. Pour red pepper-cream cheese mixture into large skillet and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring often
  4. Add shrimp and cook 2-3 minute until thoroughly heated; remove from heat
  5. Serve over cooked pasta; garnish with fresh basil sprig
