Onion Sauce for Hamburgers

  • 3 large white onions, cut into thin rings or half rings
  • 1 stick butter
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 TBS Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 TBS A-1 Steak Sauce
  • 1 TBS Louisiana Hot Sauce
  1. Sauté onions in butter in large pot for 10 minutes until wilted; you may brown to give a richer flavor
  2. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 1 ½ - 2 hours, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

Makes approximately 3 cups
