A favorite served with beef, pork, lamb or chicken

  • 2 29-oz cans cling peach halves
  • 1 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 cup cider vinegar
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 tsp whole cloves
  1. Drain peaches, reserve syrup
  2. Into a saucepan combine sugar and next 3 ingredients
  3. Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes
  4. In a bowl or Mason jar/s pour hot syrup over peaches, let cool
  5. Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks

Serves 16

This is not an acceptable preserving method to be kept shelved for months
