Great tasting, moist & tangy
- 1 turkey 16-23#
- 2 TBS Tony Chachere’s seasonings mix
Marinade:
- 1 large bottle Wishbone Italian Dressing
- 1 package McCormick Meat Marinade
- 2 cans Dawn’s Mushroom Sauce
- 1 can diced Rotel Tomatoes
- 2 onions, chopped coarsely
- 1 bell pepper, chopped coarsely
- 6 pods garlic, chopped coarsely
- 1 cup chopped celery
- ¼ cup Tony Chachere’s roux mix
- 2 TBS Worcestershire sauce
- 2 TBS Tabasco sauce
- The night before serving, cut turkey into individual pieces and split breast
- Place in large oven-proof roaster
- Season turkey pieces well with Tony’s seasoning mix, Tabasco, and Worcestershire sauce
- Pour some of Italian dressing over turkey, then add meat marinade to remaining dressing and shake well; pour over turkey
- Add vegetables, mushroom sauce, and tomatoes
- Bake at 350° for 3–3 ½ hours covered; meat should fall from bones
- Place boneless turkey pieces in serving platter with juices
