  • 8 Cornish hens defrosted

Marinade:

  • 2/3 cup Teriyaki soy sauce
  • 3 TBS Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp lemon-pepper seasoning
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1/3 cup dry or sweet vermouth
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • Paprika
  1. Split hens in ½, season with salt & pepper, and baste with marinade (next 8 ingredients) overnight, basting occasionally
  2. Next day, place hens in rectangular, lightly sprayed with vegetable oil, dish
  3. Pour off marinade into a bowl which will be used to baste during cooking
  4. Season hens with paprika, salt & pepper
  5. Bake covered with foil for about 45 minutes at 350?
  6. Remove foil and perhaps bake additional 10 minutes to brown hens if necessary

Serves 8

Delicious served with wild rice and glazed vegetables
