Smoked Brisket

Great summertime lunch or dinner!  Leftovers make an awesome sandwich with coleslaw.

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 pound brisket, trimmed
  • Salt & pepper
  • ½ bottle BBQ sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 6 ounces beer
  • ½ jar Woody’s Sweet & Sour Sauce

Instructions:

  1. Season brisket with salt and pepper, place in smoker and smoke at medium temperature for 4-5 hours; remove from heat
  2. In a sauce pan, combine remaining ingredients and cook over low heat for 30 minutes;
  3. Place brisket in Dutch oven, pour sauce over brisket and bake at 350° for 3 ½ -4 hours
  4. Remove, slice and return to sauce in pot, keep warm

Serves 8-10
