Great for tailgating party or unscheduled family gatherings! Most guests will want the recipe!

  • 3 pounds beef chuck
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 medium onions, finely chopped
  • ½ bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 6 ribs celery, finely chopped
  • 1 bottle BV Extract
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, mashed and minced


  1. Salt and pepper chuck roast; place into a large crock pot at high temperature
  2. Cover roast with vegetables and pour BV Extract over mixture;
  3. Cook for 8 hours and shred with two forks
  4. Serve on hot pistolettes or miniature French loaves
  5. Brush outside of prepared sandwich with melted butter and garlic
  6. Place prepared pistolettes on a baking sheet and bake at 350o for 12-15 minutes
  7. Have available mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup and sour pickle slices as condiments

Serves 16-20 as snack
