If you're too busy to stand over the stove to prepare dinner, prepare the night before and "light-up" the slow cooker the next morning.  The great smell that emanates from the kitchen when you return from work will make you smile!

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ pounds beef stew meat
  • 1 tsp Tony Chachere’s Seasoning Mix
  • ¼ cup sauce and gravy flour
  • 1 cup mushroom gravy
  • 1 package Lipton Onion-Mushroom soup mix
  • ½ cup red wine
  • 1 package McCormick brown gravy mix
  • ½ tsp basil
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • 12 new potatoes, washed
  • ½ bag frozen baby peas
  • ½ bag of baby carrots, washed

Instructions:

  1. Sprinkle stew meat with Tony’s and sauce and gravy flour and put into crock pot
  2. Add remaining ingredients;
  3. Turn pot to high and cook for 2-3 hours; then low for 1 hour

Serves 4
