Comfort food defined!

Ingredients:

  • 1 can beef stock
  • 1 shredded carrot
  • 1 ½ pounds beef stew meat
  • 1 tsp Adolph’s meat tenderizer
  • ½ tsp garlic salt
  • 1 TBS chopped parsley
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 TBS chopped chives
  • 1 cup red wine or vermouth
  • 2 pods garlic, pressed
  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 TBS tomato paste
  • ½ cup finely chopped celery
  • ½ cup finely chopped onion

Instructions:

  1. Place stock and carrot into crock pot
  2. Season beef with Adolph’s and next 4 ingredients; place into crock pot
  3. Add wine or vermouth and garlic to pot
  4. In microwavable bowl combine flour and oil thoroughly and heat for 2 minutes on high
  5. Add tomato past, celery and onion and microwave additional 3 minutes on high
  6. Combine all ingredients into crock pot and cook on high for 2 ½ hours

Serves 4
