Be sure to include fresh cilantro, lemon juice, and scallions with this dish for the true flavor.
Ingredients:
- 2 very ripe avocados, peeled and diced
- 1 ½ TBS fresh lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced or mashed
- 1 tsp basil
- 1 tsp finely chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/4 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
- 2 TBS of your favorite salsa
- 2 TBS thinly sliced scallions
- Dash of fajita seasoning
- ½ tsp Louisiana hot sauce
- Dash of freshly ground black pepper
- 1 TBS mayonnaise
- 3 TBS sour cream
- 1 tsp minced white or Vidalia onion
Directions
- Combine avocado and remaining ingredients into a large bowl at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to combine; cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours
Makes 2 1/2 cups
