Spiced Tea

Delicious hot drink on a cold winter's day.  Serve with your favorite pecan sandies.  Great for a party!

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ quart boiling water
  • 1 6-ounce can frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 3 6-ounce cans water
  • 24 ounce unsweetened pineapple juice
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 2 family size tea bags
  • 4 sticks cinnamon
  • 25-30 whole cloves
  • 1 ½ cups water

Directions:

  1. Into a large pot combine boiling water and next 5 ingredients, bring to a boil, reduce heat to a simmer; add tea bags and allow bags to steep
  2. In a separate pot under medium high heat combine cinnamon, cloves and water, bring to boil and simmer about 5 minutes; strain and add to other ingredients

Yields approximately 1 gallon
