Irish Cream Eggnog

Really rich holiday pleasure!

Ingredients:

  • 6 eggs, separated
  • 16 ounces Half & Half
  • 16 ounces whipping cream
  • 1 cup Irish cream liqueur
  • 1 cup bourbon
  • 5 TBS powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp cream of tartar

Directions:

  1. With electric beaters, mix egg yolks, vanilla, bourbon, and Irish cream liqueur
  2. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites with cream of tartar, until stiff
  3. Be sure beaters are clean and dry
  4. In a 3rd bowl beat whipping cream until stiff peaks appear
  5. Combine all ingredients including Half & Half into a pitcher
  6. Serve very cold into glasses or metal cups with light sprinkle of nutmeg

Make approximately 1/2 gallon
