Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Delicious with coffee, milk, or topped with ice cream for dessert.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup sugar1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Crumb Mixture Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or almonds

Directions:

  1. Into a mixing bowl, cream 1/4 cup butter, 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup brown sugar
  2. Slowly add eggs, vanilla, and sour cream; ;mix 3 minutes
  3. Add flour, baking soda, and baking powder; mix well

Crumb Mixture Directions:

  1. Blend through cake mixture 1/4 cup sugar, cinnamon, and chopped nuts; reserving some for topping
  2. Place into lightly greased tube pan and bake at 375° for 40-50 minutes

Serves 6-8
