Ice Cream with Praline Sauce

This is scrumptious enough to enjoy every night!  Unfortunately your waistline couldn't take it!

Ingredients:

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup dark Karo syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 TBS dark rum
  • 1 tsp maple extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecan
  • 16 scoops vanilla ice cream

Directions:

  1. Melt butter in saucepan
  2. Stir in brown sugar
  3. Add Karo syrup and water and cook over medium heat until boiling
  4. Continue boiling for 1 minute, stirring constantly
  5. Remove pan from heat and allow mixture to cool slightly
  6. Stir in the rum, extract, and pecans; sauce will thicken as it cools
  7. Serve 1/4 cup of sauce over 2 scoops of ice cream per serving

Serves 6
