Very old and popular recipe that still tastes great with a cold glass of milk.

 Ingredients:

 

  • 2 ¼ cups of all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¾ cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
    Directions:
  1. In a small bowl combine flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside
  2. Into a large bowl beat butter and next 3 ingredients until creamy
  3. Beat in eggs, one at time and gradually add flour mixture, thoroughly combining
  4. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts
  5. Drop dollops onto ungreased cookie sheet
  6. Bake at 375° for 10 minutes or until lightly browned

Yields about 36
