Another dessert that is served best following a rich, filling meal. Perfect with tea, coffee, or cold milk.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 TBS flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 TBS melted butter
- Juice of 2 lemons
- Rind of 1 lemon grated
- 3 well beaten egg yolks
- 1 ½ cups Half & Half
- 3 stiffly beaten egg whites
- In a large bowl, combine sugar, flour, salt, and butter
- Add lemon juice and rind
- Add egg yolks and Half & Half; mix well
- Fold in egg whites
- Pour into 6-8 greased custard cups
- Bake in a pan of hot water at 325° for 45 minutes
Serves 6-8
