Another dessert that is served best following a rich, filling meal.  Perfect with tea, coffee, or cold milk.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 TBS flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 TBS melted butter
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • Rind of 1 lemon grated
  • 3 well beaten egg yolks
  • 1 ½ cups Half & Half
  • 3 stiffly beaten egg whites
    Directions:
  1. In a large bowl, combine sugar, flour, salt, and butter
  2. Add lemon juice and rind
  3. Add egg yolks and Half & Half; mix well
  4. Fold in egg whites
  5. Pour into 6-8 greased custard cups
  6. Bake in a pan of hot water at 325° for 45 minutes

Serves 6-8
