This recipe has been around since the mid 20th Century. It's quite simply and excellent as a treat following afternoon tea or a patio luncheon.
Ingredients:
- ½ pound butter, softened
- 5 TBS powdered sugar
- 3 cup flour, sifted twice
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups chopped pecans
- Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl and blend on low speed until well combined. If too dry, add a couple drops of water
- Remove from bowl, divide with 1 heaping TBS then roll into balls
- Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 300° for 35 minutes
- While slightly warm, roll in powdered sugar
