Popular dessert that combines the flavors of bananas and rum so well!

Ingredients:

  1. 1 box Duncan Hines Butter Recipe cake mix
  2. Combine all ingredients into a large mixing bowl and beat at medium speed for 4 minutes
  3. 1 stick butter, softened
  4. 1/3 cup water
  5. 1/3 cup rum
  6. 3 eggs
  7. 2 medium size ripe bananas, mashed
  8. ½ cup chopped pecans

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients into a large mixing bowl and beat a medium speed for 4 minutes
  2. Place into greased rectangular baking dish at 350° for 45 minutes, until knife inserted into center comes out clean

 

Sauce:

  • ½ stick butter
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup rum

Directions:

  1. Remove and allow to cool before cutting into serving size
  2. Melt butter over medium high heat, adding sugar, whisk until sugar is dissolved
  3. Lower heat and add rum, combining
  4. Pour sauce over individual servings
