Using all of the suggested ingredients, this is sure to be a hit at your next gathering!
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ pounds of seafood—suggest half pound of each shrimp, chopped; lump crabmeat, and crawfish tails, chopped
- ¼ pound butter
- ¼ cup finely chopped onions
- ¼ cup finely chopped celery
- ¼ cup finely chopped red bell pepper
- ¼ cup finely chopped yellow bell pepper
- ¼ cup minced garlic
- ¼ cup diced tasso ham
- ¼ cup sliced green onions
- ¼ cup chopped parsley
- 1 TBS chopped fresh dill
- 1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 TBS Worcestershire Sauce
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp coarse ground black pepper
- 1 tsp Tabasco Sauce
- Juice of one lemon
- In a heavy sauce pan, melt butter over medium high heat; add onions and next 4 ingredients; saute 3-5 minutes until vegetables are wilted
- Add crawfish, shrimp, green onions, and parsley, saute additional 3-5 minutes
- Remove from heat and allow to cool
- In a large mixing bowl combine seafood with dill and remaining ingredients
- Pour seafood dip into serving dish and serve with assorted crackers
