Healthy use of a tasty fruit

  • 8-10 of your favorite apples, peeled, quartered, and cored
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp all spice
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  1. Into a crock pot, thoroughly mix all ingredients
  2. Cover and cook 2-3 hours at high setting, or 6-8 hours at low setting
  3. Remove and refrigerate covered; keeps for up to 3 weeks

Serves 12-14

Young and old can enjoy this as cold treat or accompaniment to chicken or beef dishe
